JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary

We are seeking a PMO Analyst to join our growing [tech/boutique] consulting team. As a PMO Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting project management activities, maintaining governance standards, and analyzing project performance across multiple workstreams. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure consistent project delivery and adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Governance and Control
-Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and standards.
-Monitor compliance with defined governance frameworks and escalate issues as required.

2. Project Reporting and Analytics
-Gather, analyze, and report on key project metrics (budget, timeline, resources, and risks).
-Produce regular status reports and dashboards for stakeholders and senior leadership.
-Identify trends and recommend corrective actions or improvements based on data insights.

3. Resource and Financial Management
-Assist in resource planning and allocation to ensure projects are adequately staffed.
-Track project budgets, expenses, and forecasts, flagging variances and recommending corrective measures.

4. Risk and Issue Management
-Support project managers with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
-Monitor open issues and escalate critical or systemic concerns to leadership.

5. Stakeholder Engagement
-Act as a central point of communication for project updates, meeting agendas, and action items.
-Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and maintain relationships with project teams and clients.

6. Tool and Process Optimization
-Administer PMO tools and software (e.g., project management platforms, resource tracking tools).
-Identify opportunities for automation or process enhancement to increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, like computer science.
-Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a project management or PMO support role, ideally within a consulting or technology environment.
-Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
-Technical Skills:
1. Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Linear
2. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations.
3. Comfortable with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
4. Understanding of Scrum methodologies.
