Job Summary
We need a highly skilled researcher who is an expert problem solver, critical thinker and a team player. You need to have a good balance of being able to work individually but still be adaptable to working with a larger team. You'll be examining U.S. property records to help us find family histories of deceased owners to locate legal heirs to the properties that may need our help. This is a remote job, so you can work from home,
Responsibilities
Find and use data from U.S. property records (deeds, tax records, etc.).
Do genealogy research using online databases and historical records.
Build family trees and identify legal heirs based on U.S. inheritance laws (we'll provide training).
Keep accurate records of your research.
Communicate clearly with the team about your progress and any problems.
Manage your time well to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Strong research and analysis skills.
Very detail-oriented.
Well-organized.
Able to navigate Challenges with determination
Fluent in English, with good communication skills.
Reliable internet and a computer.
Able to work independently and stay motivated.
Ethical Integrity- you can handle sensitive family information and research discreetly and with dignity.
Bonus
Experienced in genealogy research.
Familiarity with legal documents is a plus; we'll train you on U.S. records
Experience researching U.S. records.
Familiarity with U.S. genealogy databases like
Knowledge of U.S. inheritance laws.
