US Psychiatry Biller

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatry/Mental Health Billing Expert to join our team and support our US-based psychiatry practice. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years expertise in all areas of psychiatry billing, including insurance verification, payment posting, claims submission, credentialing, and extensive experience working with major US insurance payors. Experience specifically billing for psychiatry required.
This is a remote position, and the successful candidate must be able to work US business hours and effectively communicate with our team and insurance companies.

Responsibilities:
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
• Accurately submit medical claims to insurance payors
• Post payments and reconcile patient accounts
• Handle claim denials, rejections, and appeals
• Manage provider credentialing and payer enrollments
• Follow up with insurance companies for claim status and resolution
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and US medical billing regulations
• Collaborate with the team via Google Meet and Google Chat
• Attend daily morning teaUpgrade to see actual infoetings
• Perform additional medical billing and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:
• Substantial prior experience in Psychiatry billing (minimum 3 years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical insurance verification, claims submission, payment posting, and credentialing
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial insurance payors (BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, etc.)
• Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Successful completion of an NBI background check
• HIPAA certification
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Must provide references from prior employment (will be verified)
