Job Title: Payroll Tax Notice Analyst

Role Overview:
As a Payroll Tax Notice Analyst, you will be responsible for triaging and troubleshooting federal and state payroll tax notices on behalf of our clients. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance through the execution of daily, quarterly, and annual tasks. This role requires cross-functional collaboration and communication with local, state, and federal agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Resolve payroll tax notice inquiries and issues within established SLAs across local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
Prepare amended payroll tax returns, including W2Cs, and manage the abatement process.
Work directly with clients and taxing authorities to resolve payroll tax issues.
Triage incoming issues and identify needs for engineering intervention.
Identify trends in payroll tax issues and recommend process improvements.
Maintain and update internal resources regarding payroll tax policies.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, Customer Success, and Compliance teams to execute changes to payroll tax procedures.
Participate in the training of new team members and report progress to management.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2+ years of payroll tax research and notice resolution experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Technologically savvy and adaptable to using multiple software systems.
Experience managing multi-state accounts for large or multi-employer businesses.
APA Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
