US Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Medical Billing Specialist experienced with Fusion Web Clinic EMR to join our team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing operations for Communication Cottage Therapy, supporting our mission of delivering top-notch therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Medical Billing: Process claims, manage payor submissions, and address discrepancies to minimize denials.
2. Record Maintenance: Maintain billing spreadsheets, process insurance remittances, and input daily notes for early intervention programs like BabyNet.
3. Insurance Coordination: Manage prior authorization requests, update payment statuses, and follow up on outstanding claims.
4. Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality of personal health information (PHI).
5. Collaboration: Work with the administrative team to ensure seamless operations and contribute to overall success.

Qualifications:
1. Proven medical billing experience (therapy/healthcare preferred).
2. Proficient in Fusion Web Clinic EMR and insurance claims management.
3. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality.
4. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
5. Familiarity with BRIDGES Early Intervention System or willingness to learn.
