We are looking for a Senior Accountant with proven expertise in financial statement preparation, financial modeling, and advanced proficiency in QUICKBOOKS ONLINE.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee a range of critical technical accounting tasks:
Core Accounting and Reporting Responsibilities:
• Prepare, analyze, and finalize financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, in compliance with US GAAP.
• Reconcile accounts, including intercompany accounts.
• Maintain and monitor the chart of accounts.
• Prepare consolidations for multi-entity operations.
• Perform periodic financial reviews and present key findings to management or clients.
Financial Analysis and Modeling:
• Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Conduct cost analysis, margin analysis, and KPI tracking to support business decision-making.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports, combining data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.
Accounting Systems and Processes:
• Optimize and maintain accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online and other tools to streamline processes.
• Automate recurring accounting tasks using advanced Excel functions, macros, or third-party tools.
Month-End and Year-End Closing:
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements and reports.
Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
We are looking for the best candidates who meet the following criteria:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including technical accounting responsibilities like financial statement preparation, financial modeling, and system optimization.
• Industry Expertise: Experience working with US-based accounting firms and deep knowledge of US GAAP compliance.
• Software Proficiency:
• Advanced expertise in QuickBooks Online (mandatory).
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
Preferred but NOT Required:
• CPA designation.
• Proficiency in Gusto, Sage,
• Familiarity with additional financial tools like Power BI.
