Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Support the year-end audit process by preparing relevant documentation and liaising with external auditors.
Manage VAT returns and ensure timely submissions to HMRC.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
Monitor and report on financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
Assist in the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a UK-based environment.
Mid-Senior Accountant is preferred.
Knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations just preference.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero & QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
