Truck Dispatcher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the movement of freight efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong understanding of logistics and transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch trucks for pick-up and delivery of freight.
Communicate with drivers, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Monitor routes, traffic conditions, and weather to adjust schedules as needed.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including trip logs and fuel usage.
Use dispatch software and GPS tracking to manage fleet operations.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Handle driver issues, delays, and emergencies efficiently.
Negotiate freight rates with brokers and customers.
Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries regarding shipments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in logistics is a plus).
Experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation preferred.
Strong knowledge of transportation laws and regulations.
Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
