We are seeking an experienced contractor to join our team of Travel Operations Coordinators. He/she should possess meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, a knack for handling the unexpected with finesse, and the capacity to multitask. Prior experience in the travel industry, especially with itinerary building and in GDS/Sabre is a plus. You will excel in this role if you are detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and adaptable. The ideal candidate for the role is a pro-active, flexible problem solver with superb communication skills.

The Travel Operations Coordinator will provide day-to-day support for a team of Local Foreigner’s travel advisors. As Local Foreigner is a small and growing business, it is crucial for the candidate to be a team player and willing to provide support when the team is at peak volume. We are seeking a dynamic candidate with excellent growth potential who finds fulfillment in supporting a creative team, completing their daily responsibilities to a high standard, and taking on new challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Local Foreigner travel advisors with itinerary document building and adding services to database.
• Manage and respond to Help Desk tickets from the in-house advisors and affiliate teams
• Create, format and update client travel documents, such as itineraries and hotel rate-checks.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of trip feedback, scouting reports, supplier contacts, and itinerary media.
• Research and curate destination, culinary, and activity recommendations.
• Build and maintain internal processes of travel advisors' various trip planning stages and protocols.
• Create how-to documentation and user guides, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in the travel industry, especially understanding itinerary documents and industry processes. GDS/Sabre experience is a big plus.
• A keen attention to detail with a passion for accuracy, organization, and working within deadlines.
• Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Office. Salesforce and Confluence experience is a plus.
• Team player, able to work independently, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to navigate competing priorities and a variety of tasks confidently, able to multi-task.
• Quick-learning, with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic; someone who identifies opportunities to take on more.
• Proactive and resourceful; an intuitive problem-solver.
