JOB OVERVIEW

Position Description
We are seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) freelance contractor to join one of our clients as a Web Developer. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building and maintaining functional web pages and applications. Web Developer responsibilities include working independently on a variety of websites, refining website specifications, and resolving technical issues. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience building web pages from scratch and in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.



About the work
Conceptualize and create intuitive, engaging, and brand-consistent web experiences
Collaborate in development and design ideation cross-functionally to help define a creative strategy with CRO and design teams
Leads multiple project teams to create websites that exceed customer expectations and speak to the customer’s target audience
Identify user and system requirements for new websites and applications
Create wireframes to decide on layout
Write or review code for various applications
Run functionality testing and debug code
Optimize webpages for speed and efficiency
Developing and outlining specs for website builds (utilizing UX best practices)
Utilize a testing framework to continually optimize page designs with software, including VWO, Unbounce, Google Optimize, Optimizely


Boxes to check
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
4+ years of Web Development experience (Advertising Agency Experience a plus!)
Proficient in Photoshop and Figma
Proficiency in HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript
Familiarity with testing software, including VWO, Unbounce, Google Optimize, Optimizely
Good understanding of content management systems
Good understanding of search engine optimization principles
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
Excellent visual design skills
Creative and open to new ideas
Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
Ability to work independently and generate strategies without direct supervision
Availability to work US hours (PST/CST/EST)


About the role
Part-time position at $18/hr, working 20 hours per week (must mirror client's schedule)
Night shifts with fixed weekends off
