Temporary Accountant (Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a temporary Accountant to join our team and assist with cleaning up our bookkeeping and payment accounts. This role will involve working closely with our existing team of two to ensure that our books are accurately sorted and ready for filing taxes for the 2023 tax year. The duration of this position will depend on the completion of the task.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean up and organize bookkeeping records in Odoo, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Monitor payments received and apply them to the correct invoices and sales orders.
Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any outstanding balances or discrepancies.
Generate earnings reports, projection reports, and other financial reports to assess business growth and performance.
Assist with tax preparation for the 2023 tax year, including gathering necessary documents and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Make corrections to invoices and sales orders to ensure accurate financial records.
Qualifications:

Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Odoo, or willingness to learn.
CPA certification or relevant accounting experience preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Previous experience in bookkeeping, tax preparation, or a related field is an asset.
