TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST (WORDPRESS)

REMOTE | FULL-TIME | M-F 8AM - 5PM CST (UTC-6)

We’re looking for a WordPress Support Specialist to join our team and provide exceptional support to our clients.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Jordan Technology is a small but rapidly expanding Managed Service Provider offering IT, Cybersecurity, and Website Development services to businesses across the United States. We are a 100% remote-based team.

DESCRIPTION
As a WordPress Support Specialist, you will manage all aspects of technical support for WordPress. This role is non-coding, requiring a strong understanding of WordPress, WooCommerce, and customer support. You will handle customer inquiries through phone, email, and ticketing systems while coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure issues are resolved quickly.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and ticketing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve all basic technical issues related to WordPress, WooCommerce, and integrations.
• Provide clear, concise, and helpful communication both in writing and verbally.
• Work with developers to resolve escalated issues.
• Resolve plugin conflicts, ensure compatibility, and apply updates without breaking site functionality.
• Manage DNS settings, set up SSL certificates, and handle domain transitions.
• Ensure WordPress sites are secure, implement best practices, and perform regular updates.
• Monitor website backups, updates, logs, security, and more.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of experience in WordPress and WooCommerce management, security, and/or maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience in customer or technical support.
• Experience with hosting providers like Hostiger, GoDaddy, and Namecheap.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
• Comfort with daily phone and video communications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with SEO (on-page tasks).
• Familiarity with caching, CDNs, and website speed optimization.
• Familiarity with customization and custom PHP development.
• Ability to work independently with proactive communication.
