JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manage and maintain orderly, systematic electronic client files in the cloud.
-Request and organize client data for tax filings, estimated calculations, and planning
-Prepare federal and state individual partnership, S and C corporate tax returns and comprehensive workpapers.
-Review simple tax returns & workpapers- provide feedback and make recommendations/ adjustments.
-Assist with all steps of tax preparation & filing process including sending reviews for client review and collecting feedback, collecting e-signatures, e-filing returns, and communicating with the admin team to confirm billing.
-Conduct tax research using industry-standard tools like Checkpoint.
-Research tax notices from federal/state agencies and prepare written correspondence as needed.
-Support the Tax Manager & team in all tax & accounting related projects and initiatives.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS:
-Excellent written communication and demonstrated success working in a remote role.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
-Strong financial and business acumen.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum 3 years in US-based Public Accounting.
-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks Online, ProConnect Tax, Paylocity and Gusto.
-CPA or EA designation.
