Tax Accountant: Client Onboarding

Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Key Details:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent License is required
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 4pm - 12am Philippine Time, with some flexibility.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant: Client Onboarding to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a key part in welcoming clients, answering tax-related questions, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of client information for tax preparation. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent communication skills and an understanding of U.S. tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual and phone meetings with current and prospective U.S. tax clients to assist with onboarding and address their - tax-related questions.
- Provide professional and accurate responses to individual tax inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to manage and enhance client communications.
- Assist clients in completing tax questionnaires, ensuring information is clear and complete.
- Review completed tax questionnaires for accuracy and consistency.
- Examine client tax documentation, extract relevant information, and input data accurately into tax preparation software.
- Proactively reach out to prospective and existing clients via phone, email, or other channels to facilitate the collection of necessary tax documentation.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preparing U.S. tax returns, preferably individual returns.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with native English speakers.
- Experience working with native English speakers via written and live channels in professional settings such as tax preparation, customer service, or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws, with experience in international tax regulations considered a plus.
- Prior experience preparing U.S. expatriate tax returns is a bonus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data and documentation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is required.

Pay: Salary from $1700 per month
Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay based on performance

Expected Start Date: January 2025
