System Engineer – Remote (US Business Hours)

We're looking for a System Engineer who can take charge of keeping our systems running smoothly, securely, and reliably. In this role, you'll be working closely with the Director of Infrastructure and Platforms, managing DevOps pipelines, maintaining Linux servers, and helping ensure our systems are resilient and secure.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Manage and maintain Linux-based servers and infrastructure
• Own and improve DevOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Monitor system health and ensure high availability and reliability
• Act as one of the emergency contacts for system-related issues and outages
• Collaborate directly with the Director on architecture, security, and scaling plans
• Document processes, setups, and contribute to internal runbooks

What We're Looking For:
• Solid hands-on experience with Linux system administration
• Understanding of DevOps practices and modern deployment pipelines
• Willingness to learn, experiment, and improve systems continuously
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Able to work US business hours, Monday through Friday
• Comfortable being on-call for emergencies on a rotating basis

Bonus Points For:
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, etc.)
