Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our team in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with a preference for experience in sheet metal and assembly design. You will play a critical role in the development of innovative, efficient, and high-quality products tailored to the specific needs of our QSR clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for new and existing products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop products that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Sheet Metal and Assembly Design:
Develop sheet metal components and assemblies, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Optimize designs for ease of manufacturing, assembly, and installation in QSR environments.

Prototyping and Testing:
Work closely with the prototyping team to build and test prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications.
Make necessary design adjustments based on prototype testing feedback.

Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and user manuals.
Ensure designs comply with industry regulations and safety standards.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work with engineers, production teams, and other stakeholders to refine designs and resolve technical issues.
Communicate design concepts and progress updates effectively to all relevant parties.

Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies related to product design.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product design within the manufacturing industry, preferably in QSR-related products.
Proven expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential.
Experience with sheet metal and assembly design is highly preferred.

Skills:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost implications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• 2 years CAD experience (SolidWorks)
• 2 years' experience in sheet metal manufacturing environment
• Familiar with SolidWorks PDM system
• Has solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with design terminology
• Possesses mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
• Communication skills
• Problem-solving/analysis
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
• General computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
