About Us

The Social Bay is a fast-growing web design and digital marketing agency dedicated to helping businesses build stunning online presences. We focus on delivering seamless user experiences that drive results, and we’re now looking for a creative and results-driven Social Media Manager & Content Creator to elevate our own brand’s social presence and, eventually, work on client projects as we grow!

Role Overview

This is a part-time, remote role with the potential to become full-time as we expand. You’ll be responsible for managing The Social Bay’s social media accounts, creating engaging content, and driving audience growth. As we scale, you may also work on client social media accounts, designing high-quality content and implementing strategic growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

? Social Media Strategy & Management
Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and possibly TikTok.
Develop and execute content calendars aligned with our marketing goals.
Monitor trends, hashtags, and platform updates to keep content fresh and relevant.

? Content Creation (Graphics & Video)
Design eye-catching graphics, carousels, and branded visuals using Canva or Adobe Suite.
Create short-form video content (Reels/TikToks) with CapCut or similar video editing tools.
Write engaging captions, hooks, and CTAs that align with our brand voice.

? Community Engagement & Growth
Respond to comments, DMs, and engage with industry-relevant accounts.
Proactively grow follower engagement and brand visibility through interaction.

? Marketing & Branding Support (As we grow, this will expand)
Assist with designing logos, business cards, and marketing materials for The Social Bay and clients.
Contribute to brand storytelling by creating case studies, portfolio content, and promotional materials.

? Analytics & Performance Tracking
Monitor key social media metrics and provide reports on content performance.
Use insights to refine strategies and increase engagement.

Requirements:

???? Proven experience (2+ years) in social media marketing & content creation.
???? Strong graphic design & video editing skills using Canva, CapCut (Adobe Suite is a plus).
???? Ability to write engaging social media copy (captions, post text, and call-to-actions).
???? Solid understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok algorithms.
???? Strong ability to research relevant hashtags, trends and topics.
???? Experience in community management and audience engagement.
???? Highly organised with experience in content scheduling tools (Meta Suite, Buffer, Trello, or similar).
???? A self-starter who can work independently and bring fresh ideas.

Bonus Skills:

? Experience with branding, logo design, and marketing materials.
? Familiarity with AI-powered content tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.).
