Sign Language Data Collector - Work from Home

Hello, my name is Paul Kelly, and I am a CODA (child of a deaf adult). Growing up, I saw firsthand the difficulties my parents faced in communicating with hearing people. That's why I'm passionate about this project - to create something that will help my deaf parents and those in the deaf community. Currently, there are no AI applications available to help deaf people communicate with hearing people, and this project will help to change that. This project will provide life changing communication access to deaf people in the Philippines and in America.

We are looking for passionate and experienced sign language data collectors to work on a project that aims to teach an AI model sign language. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking for a flexible and rewarding job that can be done from home.

About the project:
The project involves collecting data on sign language to help train an AI model. As a sign language data collector, your main duty will be to use our website to make recordings of sign language based on the signs that you are shown. The website handles all of the recording for you, and is very user-friendly, making the task simple and easy to complete. The signs will be in American Sign Language, which is very similar to Filipino Sign Language.

Requirements:
- More than 1 year of experience with sign language
- Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or Filipino Sign Language (FSL)
- Access to a computer or mobile phone with a camera
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to commit to at least 5 hours of work

Responsibilities:
- Use the website to watch videos and make recordings of the corresponding signs
- Follow the guidelines provided to ensure accuracy and consistency in the recordings
- Submit completed recordings within the specified deadline
