JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Short-Form Video Editor specializing in social media content, your primary role will be to create engaging and compelling videos that captivate audiences on various social media platforms. You will be responsible for editing and enhancing short-form video content, ensuring it aligns with our clients' brand guidelines and objectives. Your creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality video content that drives audience engagement and achieves the desired results.

1. ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS

- Video Editing Responsibilities:
Footage Review: Carefully review raw footage and identify the best takes and shots suitable for Reels and TikTok videos. Familiarize yourself with the content and understand the desired outcome, ensuring it aligns with the platform's requirements and trends.

- Editing: Utilize video editing software specialized for social media platforms to assemble and edit footage, creating captivating Reels and TikTok videos. Ensure smooth transitions, proper sequencing, and pacing, optimizing the video's length for maximum engagement based on the client's style.

- Color Correction and Grading: Enhance the visual appeal of Reels and TikTok videos by adjusting colors, tones, and overall aesthetic through color correction and grading techniques. Maintain consistency in color and tone to create an eye-catching and cohesive visual style.

- Audio Editing: Improve audio quality by adjusting levels, removing background noise, and syncing appropriate sound effects and music. Ensure that the audio complements the visual elements of the video and enhances the overall viewing experience.
Graphics and Titles: Incorporate visually appealing graphics, text overlays, lower thirds, and other engaging visual elements into Reels and TikTok videos. Create and animate titles and captions that convey important information and capture viewers' attention.

- Visual Effects: Apply captivating visual effects, such as transitions, filters, and motion graphics, to enhance the visual impact of Reels and TikTok videos. Use effects judiciously to maintain the video's overall tone and style while grabbing the viewer's attention.

- Storytelling and Narrative Flow: Understand the intended message or story of the video and ensure that the editing supports and enhances the narrative flow within the shorter format of Reels and TikTok. Utilize pacing, timing, and sequencing techniques to create a compelling and engaging video experience.

- Collaboration: Work closely with our team to understand the vision and objectives of each Reels and TikTok project. Collaborate and communicate effectively to ensure the video aligns with the desired outcome, incorporating feedback and suggestions to enhance the final product.

- Quality Control: Conduct a thorough review of the edited Reels and TikTok videos to ensure accuracy, visual and audio quality, and adherence to platform-specific requirements. Make necessary adjustments and revisions based on feedback or identified issues, ensuring the videos meet high-quality standards.

- Time Management: Effectively manage multiple Reels and TikTok projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely delivery. Efficiently utilize time to complete editing tasks, maintaining a consistent workflow.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest video editing techniques, software features, and industry trends specific to Reels and TikTok. Continuously improve your skills and explore new creative approaches to enhance the quality and engagement of Reels and TikTok videos.

SMART EXPECTATIONS:

- Edit and finalize a minimum of 4 Reels and TikTok videos per day, ensuring high-quality editing, adherence to platform-specific requirements, and timely delivery.

- Respond to revisions and complete them within 24 hours.

- Complete the review and selection of footage for each project within 24 hours of receiving the raw footage, allowing for an efficient start to the editing process.

- Complete revisions within 24 hours of receiving them on the notion board.

- Achieve smooth transitions, proper sequencing, and pacing in each edited Reels and TikTok video, resulting in an engaging viewing experience that captivates the audience via views for the client.

- Improve audio quality by adjusting levels, removing background noise, and syncing appropriate sound effects and music, ensuring that the audio complements and enhances the visual elements, resulting in an immersive and high-quality audio-visual experience.

- Collaborate effectively with the team, providing responses within 24 hours to feedback and incorporating suggestions to align each Reels and TikTok video with the desired outcome and client preferences, fostering a collaborative and successful video editing process.

- Conduct thorough quality control checks with NO spelling errors on each edited Reels and TikTok video, ensuring accuracy, visual and audio quality, and adherence to platform-specific requirements before final delivery, resulting in high-quality videos that meet or exceed client expectations.

- Efficiently manage multiple Reels and TikTok projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and demonstrating strong time management skills to meet project deadlines and ensure a consistent workflow, resulting in the timely delivery of edited videos.

2. PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Time Management: Effectively manage multiple Reels and TikTok projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely delivery. Efficiently utilize time to complete editing tasks, maintaining a consistent workflow.

- Keep Notion constantly up to date by adding revisions, notes, dates, and projects for the fulfillment team.

- File Management: Organize and maintain project files.

- Ensure all video projects are added to Notion properly and thoroughly.

- Ensure files are organized in Google Drive as noted.

- Complete end-of-day form and send it to the manager.

SMART EXPECTATIONS:

- Ensure 100% of projects and deliverables are on time for internal and client deadlines.

- If we are unable to meet deadlines for any project or deliverable, proactively notify all relevant parties as soon as possible (no more than 24 business hours) to provide clear and accurate updates on when to expect deliverables.

- Ensure 100% of all Notion cards on the Video Project Management board are properly and thoroughly filled out to provide transparency and manage expectations of delivery.

- Quality check video content to identify any spelling errors or obvious mistakes before sending it to the client for review.
