Shopify Theme Specialist

We are a thriving business with 19 brick-and-mortar locations in Hawaii and a growing online store. Our mission is to deliver exceptional products and services, blending local charm with a global reach. We're looking for a Shopify Theme Specialist to help enhance our online presence by switching to a new Shopify theme and making light back-end coding changes as needed.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Shopify Theme Specialist to lead the transition to a new Shopify theme. The ideal candidate will have experience in Shopify theme customization, a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development, and the ability to implement light coding adjustments to ensure a seamless transition.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our team to assess the current Shopify store and define the requirements for the new theme.

Lead the process of switching to a new Shopify theme, ensuring that the store maintains its functionality and visual appeal.

Customize and configure the new theme to align with our brand identity and business goals.

Perform light back-end coding changes as necessary to enhance store features and improve user experience.

Test the new theme thoroughly to ensure smooth operation across all devices and browsers.

Provide post-launch support to address any issues and optimize the store’s performance.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Shopify theme customization and development.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify’s templating language).
Strong understanding of Shopify’s platform and ecosystem.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to theme implementation and functionality.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with e-commerce platforms and understanding of SEO best practices.
Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
Previous experience working with Hawaii-based businesses or an understanding of the local market is a plus.
