We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce SEO and Technical SEO Expert to help optimize our Shopify store and maximize organic traffic and conversions. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of SEO best practices and the ability to drive e-commerce success by researching buyer intent keywords, optimizing product and collection pages, and enhancing the site’s structure.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ecommerce SEO:
Conduct keyword research to identify high-intent buyer keywords, and optimize product and collection pages to increase organic traffic and conversions.
Craft compelling, keyword-optimized descriptions that highlight the sustainability, comfort, and quality of products.
Create and optimize collection pages targeting specific search terms aligned with user intent to boost visibility and sales.
Implement on-page SEO strategies (meta titles, descriptions, alt tags) to ensure product pages rank effectively on Google.
Monitor ecommerce SEO performance using Shopify analytics and Google Search Console, adjusting strategies for continuous improvement.

Technical SEO:
Resolve 301, 302, and 404 redirect issues flagged in Google Search Console and check for redirect chains using tools like httpstatus.io.
Perform in-depth crawl error analysis using tools like SEMrush and make actionable recommendations to improve site health.
Optimize site structure, URL hierarchy, and internal linking to ensure smooth crawling and indexing of pages.
Identify and address duplicate content, broken links, and issues with page speed that affect SEO performance.
Utilize technical SEO tools to monitor and improve overall site health, ensuring compliance with search engine best practices.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in Ecommerce SEO for Shopify or similar platforms, with a focus on keyword research, product/collection page optimization, and conversion rate improvement.
Strong technical SEO skills, including proficiency with Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and tools like httpstatus.io.
Expertise in handling 301, 302, and 404 redirects, redirect chains, and crawl errors.
Knowledge of on-page SEO tactics, such as meta tags, structured data, and optimizing for user intent.
Ability to identify and solve technical SEO issues (duplicate content, broken links, page speed optimization).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decisions to improve site performance.
Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities:
Drop shipping & Product Listing Management:
Manage and monitor orders.
Resolve order issues, update product listings and catalogues, and evaluate channel performance.
Analyse and improve performance on each channel.

Technical Expertise and Enhancement:
Making mass uploads and changes to products on Shopify (e.g., pricing, descriptions)
Optimize listings for product rankings, conversion rates, and sales growth.
Quality-checking images, titles, and descriptions for accuracy
Website coding experience (advantageous)

Before we proceed, here are a few things we'd like to confirm:
Payments will be made weekly for the first four weeks starting from the third week of employment, and then bi-monthly every other Tuesday.
Your work schedule will consist of 40 hours per week
Your working hours will be from 8AM to 4PM (AEST) with a 1-hour break, five days a week.
