Senior Shopify Developer Wizard - Project Based

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Shopify developer to join our team on a contract basis. If you have at least seven years of hands-on experience, a proactive approach, and a passion for building high-performing eCommerce stores, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be responsible for developing, customising, and optimising Shopify stores, from new builds to refining existing ones. Your role will involve ensuring seamless user experiences, implementing advanced functionality, and keeping up with the latest eCommerce trends. A background in Shopify Liquid, custom theme development, and API integrations is essential, while experience with WordPress and Webflow would be a bonus.

What You'll Be Doing:
-Developing and customising Shopify themes using Shopify Liquid.
-Enhancing store functionality through third-party app integrations and custom solutions.
-Troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.
-Optimising website speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO performance.
-Setting up and maintaining analytics tools to track key performance metrics.
-Managing data migration processes, including products, customer details, and orders.
-Implementing conversion rate optimisation (CRO) strategies.
-Conducting thorough testing, including payment processing and app integrations.
-Creating documentation and providing guidance for internal teams.
-Developing loyalty programmes and review systems to enhance customer engagement.

-A confident developer with senior-level Shopify experience (6+ years).

-Strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with different teams.
-Adaptable and eager to stay updated on eCommerce best practices and technologies.
-Organised and capable of juggling multiple projects effectively.

Technical Expertise Required:
-Advanced proficiency in Shopify Liquid and theme development. (7 yrs+ experience)
-Solid experience with Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API) and app integrations.
-Intermediate JavaScript skills.
-Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and SASS.
-Familiarity with Git for version control.
-Knowledge of payment gateway configurations.
-Private app development experience is an advantage.
-Expertise in CRO strategies and A/B testing.
-Understanding of UX/UI principles to optimise the shopping experience.
-Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and security best practices.

Work Hours Details:
-Project-based contract with potential for ongoing work.
-Work hours preferably early mornings.

Technical Setup Requirements:
-A reliable high-speed internet connection with a backup plan.
-A dependable computer or laptop.
-Webcam and microphone for video calls.
