Senior Python Software Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Python backend developer for an exciting startup in the AI space. They’re building text and voice-based AI customer support agents. The application backend runs on a microservices architecture on Azure, making use of services such as Cosmos DB, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, Azure Functions and Azure API management). This is a small startup development team, where quality work is recognized and valued.

This is a full-time position.

Must-have:
- Senior (5+ years) experience in Python development
- Experience in building on a microservices architecture
- Experience in developing on Azure (at least using Cosmos DB, Azure Functions) - or AWS (Lambda, MongoDB, etc.)
- Experience working in a team, using tools such as Github/Gitlab
- Near-fluent in English
- Values high quality code, high attention to detail
- Able to build scalable backend solutions
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Pragmatic and pro-active attitude, self-starter

Nice-to-have, but not mandatory:
- C# development experience
- Azure Open AI / Azure AI Studio Experience
- Azure API Management experience
- Telephony experience (e.g. VoxImplant or Twilio)
