Senior Managing Editor
Location:Remote (Full-Time, 8 AM to 5 PM Central Time)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Managing Editor & Team Lead who will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content, leading a team of writers, and optimizing all content for search engines. This role requires strong SEO knowledge, writing proficiency, and leadership skills to manage both SEO and marketing content strategies. The ideal candidate will excel in content creation, SEO optimization, and team collaboration while ensuring the highest quality output.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Write and edit with research, charts, graphs, and infographics.
- Create social media posts, case studies, and video scripts that align with marketing efforts and SEO goals.

SEO Optimization:
- Conduct keyword research, optimize content with relevant keywords, and implement effective on-page SEO and linking strategies.
- Ensure all content is optimized for search engine rankings and user engagement.

Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of writers, providing feedback and guidance on SEO best practices and content quality.
- Oversee the team’s output, ensuring that all content meets the highest standards of quality, SEO optimization, and relevance.

Collaboration:
-Work closely with the SEO Manager, Marketing Manager, and CEO to align content with company goals and brand voice.

Research & Trend Analysis:
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, SEO practices, and marketing strategies to continuously improve content quality and performance.

Performance Monitoring:
- Track content performance using tools like Google Analytics and originality.ai, making adjustments as needed to improve results.

SOP Creation:
- This person will be responsible to create and build SOP for the Company’s Content Writing Team



Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in content writing, with at least 2 years of experience in SEO content writing.
Proven experience in leading a content team and managing content across multiple platforms.

Skills:
Expertise in SEO writing, keyword research, and optimization.
Strong proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading long-form content.
Advanced knowledge of WordPress, content management systems, and social media management.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience with Google Analytics for tracking and performance analysis.

Bonus Skills:
Proficient with with StoryBrand writing.
Proficient with ‘They Ask You Answer’ writing
Experience in social media copy
Experience with video scriptwriting.
