The Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate has expertise in Java, DynamoDB, and GraphQL, with a strong background in designing and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems. This is a remote position offering highly competitive compensation and excellent benefits.

What You’ll Do
???? Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services for the mortgage servicing industry
???? Architect scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices using Java and GraphQL
???? Optimize and manage DynamoDB schemas, queries, and indexing for maximum efficiency
?? Implement event-driven architectures and improve database performance at scale
???? Enhance system reliability, observability, and fault tolerance in a distributed environment
???? Work closely with front-end teams, DevOps, and product managers to integrate business logic seamlessly
???? Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish backend best practices
???? Ensure security, scalability, and performance of backend services in cloud environments

What We’re Looking For
? 5+ years of backend development experience
? Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and GraphQL
? Deep expertise in DynamoDB, NoSQL design, indexing strategies, and query optimization
? Experience in high-throughput, scalable system architecture
? Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway
? Proficiency in RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
? Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices
? Experience working in agile teams using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
? Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
? Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message queues
? Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform for infrastructure as code
? Experience with distributed caching, Redis, or in-memory databases
? Strong understanding of domain-driven design (DDD) and CQRS patterns
