Senior IT Project Engineer

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm PST (may change based on the demand of the work)

ABOUT YOU:
• A natural leader who takes responsibility and ownership of the quality of work that you and your team deliver.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sr. IT Systems Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in a tech field, such as information systems or computer science
• Strong knowledge of various operating systems
• In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure Compute technologies and Microsoft Cloud services
• Experience using database management software.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell programming, including authoring advanced modules
• Ability to use various other programming languages, such as Ruby and Python
• Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP
• In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, VLAN, firewalls, routers, and printers.
• Knowledge of data privacy and systems security
• Project management skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• A Senior IT Project Engineer who prides themselves on their effective, articulate and clear communication. You can effectively explain complex IT issues to even the most unsophisticated of users.
• You pride yourself on your time management and understand that tracking your time and providing accurate ETAs is paramount. You know that your clients and teammates depend on your ability to stick to a schedule.

WHAT’S THE JOB?
• Developing/deploying network architecture and system infrastructure.
• Monitoring all systems to ensure they’re working correctly.
• Troubleshooting inefficiencies and errors
• Working with managers to determine the system’s needs
• Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation.
• Ability to communicate technical information to other technical teaUpgrade to see actual infombers but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology.
• Training new Systems Engineers

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERTISE IN (required skills):
• Deploying and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 apps (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), Intune, Security and Compliance services
• Designing and implementing Windows servers and storage technologies both on-premises and in Azure
• Designing and implementing complete LAN and WAN IP networks at all layers
• PowerShell programming, including designing, testing, and deploying modules and scripts

ANY/ALL OF THE BELOW SKILLS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED:
• PSA, RMM tools, and documentation systems
• Large-scale automation and deployment platforms
• Business continuity systems
• Windows and Mac workstations
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting mobile device management platforms (iOS and Android)
• Working with other technologies MSPs use to support business networks.

DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS
• A current certification in Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure and/or Microsoft cloud services)
• A current certification in networking technologies and vendor platforms
