Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience contributing to collaborative software or data-driven projects, including familiarity with standard tools (e.g., Git, task management) and the necessary skills to produce clean, maintainable code.
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Proficient in developing everything from REST APIs to complex workflows in Python.
A passion for balancing efficiency, scalability, and speed in a startup environment to meet user demands.
Adaptive problem-solving skills—whether it involves reviewing technical papers, benchmarking advanced algorithms, or creating new solutions, with the wisdom to choose the most impactful approach for the given situation.
Knowledge of statistical modeling and a variety of machine learning techniques (both supervised and unsupervised).
Preference for candidates based in The Philippines.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Hands-on experience with natural language processing (NLP) and diverse Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
A deep understanding of the challenges of working with large language models (LLMs) and a healthy level of skepticism.
Familiarity with our tech stack: AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis, Python, Pytorch, React.
Experience creating data pipelines tailored for analytics or machine learning datasets.
Previous exposure to healthcare-related data (such as payer claims, electronic health records, ICD-10 coding, etc.).
Knowledge of building secure systems with HIPAA compliance at the core.

Your Role:
You’ll work closely with our tight-knit, growing team to run experiments, refine algorithms, prioritize projects, and deliver critical functionality.
This full-time position is one of the first key engineering roles and includes vesting options, among other benefits. The role is fully remote, with quarterly travel for team meetups.
