We’re looking for a high-performing Senior Bookkeeper who not only excels in bookkeeping but also sets the bar for leadership and hard work. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our bookkeeping team. You’ll lead by example, conduct quality checks, mentor teaUpgrade to see actual infombers, and implement solutions to streamline processes. You’ll also handle advanced bookkeeping tasks, assist with budgeting and financial analysis, and contribute to the professional growth of the team.

Position Details:
- Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (6am-2pm CST)
- Pay:
- Training (first 90 days): $5/hr
- Post-training: Starting at $5.50/hr., with potential increases based on performance and results.
- Reports to: CEO

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping tasks performed by the team.
- Conduct quality checks and provide actionable feedback for improvement.
- Enter advanced bookkeeping entries, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, depreciation, and specialized transactions (e.g., real estate, private money lending).
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement solutions to reduce errors and optimize productivity.
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting; review payroll reports for accuracy.
- Train, mentor, and inspire bookkeeping staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Establish standardized procedures for seamless handoffs of financial records.
- Review and prepare financial reports for management, clients, and regulatory purposes.
- Assess and recommend accounting software tools to enhance efficiency.
- Stay current with accounting regulations, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Maintain data security and confidentiality in all activities.
- Document procedures, guidelines, and best practices for training and future reference.
- Track team performance using KPIs, analyze results, and identify areas for improvement or training.

Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, including 3+ years with QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google GSuite

Flexibility in schedule may occasionally be required.
