Senior Backend Developer - Full Time

We're seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to join our team and help build our inventory management application. If you're proficient in Python, Django, and Celery, with experience in MySQL and Azure technologies and a strong focus on optimising queries for server load and scaling, this could be your perfect role.

Key responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain the back end of our inventory management app using Python, Django, and Celery
* Collaborate with front-end developers and QA engineers for seamless integration
* Optimise app performance and address bottlenecks, with a focus on server load and scaling
* Design robust and scalable data models and schemas in MySQL
* Write efficient and optimised SQL queries to handle large datasets and high-traffic
* Implement security measures and protocols
* Leverage Azure technologies (Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Database for MySQL) to build a scalable and resilient cloud-based architecture
* Utilise Celery for managing asynchronous tasks and background job processing
* Communicate effectively with team members to articulate technical challenges and solutions

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Strong Python expertise with at least 4 years of experience
* Deep understanding of MySQL and experience in writing optimised SQL queries to handle large datasets
* Proven track record of optimising application performance and scalability
* Experience with Azure technologies and building scalable cloud-based architectures
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
* Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
* Knowledge of caching strategies and performance monitoring tools is a plus
* Experience with Django and Celery is essential
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly express technical problems and solutions

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. Our core hours are from 2 PM to 6 PM PHT, with the remaining 4 hours to be completed flexibly around this time to make up an 8-hour workday.
