Profitability Partners is a distinguished fractional CFO business based in Tampa, Florida, specializing in delivering financial expertise to small and medium-sized businesses, e-commerce companies, and startups. We are on the lookout for a highly experienced Senior Accountant and FP&A Analyst with a comprehensive background in audit, general accounting practices and experience with FP&A. This remote, full-time opportunity is ideal for an overseas professional eager to take on a central role in our expansion, with the potential to grow into a managerial position overseeing our accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End and Year-End Closing:
Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Conduct thorough account reconciliations and adjust journal entries to reflect the correct financial position.
Prepare detailed financial reports and statements, analyzing for variances and providing insights on financial status.
General Accounting & Financial Management:
Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records and general ledgers.
Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payroll.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Support clients in financial modeling and creating forward-looking cash forecasts to support capital allocation decisions
Data Analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Analyze client operational data and that ties into financial performance. Condense and present data in a manageable, easy to digest format for clients to draw strategic insights from
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
CPA certification is required.
At least 3 years of GAAP-based accounting experience, with a focus on audit with time spent at a Big 4 accounting firm.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Wave).
Experience as an FP&A analyst or manager and familiarity working with financial models and forward-looking projections
C1 level or higher proficiency in English.
Demonstrated expertise in managing full-cycle accounting and tax filing processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A strong sense of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Ability to work during U.S. Eastern Standard Time business hours full-time.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
