We assist businesses and individuals in better managing their finances. We offer a broad range of services, including tax returns, BAS statements, business accounting, personal tax returns, business consultancy, and self-managed superannuation. As a small, chartered accounting firm that is Australian-owned, we place a strong emphasis on customer service.

Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated Senior Accountant with over 4 years of experience in an Australian public practice firm and experience managing a team.

Job Overview:

As the Senior Accountant, your role will involve mentoring junior staff and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public accounting, strong technical skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Train junior accountants, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and share knowledge with the team.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of Australian Tax experience, within a public practice environment.
BGL 360 Knowledge
SMSF (preferred, but not required)?
Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
Strong knowledge of Australian Tax principles and practices.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
