We’re a small, home-based business selling jewelry online targeted at the tweens-teens-young adult market in the USA.
We’re looking for assistants to help make piece work for our jewelry products. You will primarily be sculpting with polymer clay and working with small scale items.
Requirements:
• Must be comfortable and eager to learn new things
• Must have excellent communication skills (must be prompt, transparent and accessible)
• Must have amazing attention to detail
• Must be extremely self-motivated
• Must have experience working with polymer clay (preferably), otherwise general hand-eye coordination must be excellent
• Must be able to meet deadlines
We’ve been building our brand for 16 years but because we are a micro business, we take extra care in choosing who we work with. Some very important, specific things we’re looking for in a jewelry making assistant:
•• Permanence: if we like you and you like us, we always aim for the long haul. Please don’t apply if you're just looking for a temp gig.
•• Working hard, staying motivated: We have 3 other assistants who've worked with us for 9 years now. This is a pay-by-piece contract, you have the opportunity to make more if you can practice honing your craft, creating systems of efficiencies and getting fast with your work.
•• Productivity: Our pay-by-piece system makes it simple - the more pieces you make (that pass our quality check) the more money you make. If you are good with your hands and you take the time to practice/troubleshoot/work at home, you’ll be a good fit.

This is a contract position. You will not be considered an employee nor will you be paid by the hour. You will be taking care of your own taxes. You will set your own schedule and work in your own time.
This is a work from home position, with online video training you can take at your own pace. We will provide you with material and supplies. Because we only ask you to make products based on sales we have, your monthly pay will fluctuate from month to month with Nov/Dec being the busiest months of the year.

• Here's the gist of how we work:
Phase 1: Training - you will start to practice making pieces. I will review the items you make, and if those pieces are sellable, I will buy them from you and you can already start earning money in this phase. You will likely not make much money during this time so the faster you can learn, the

This position will start as soon as possible! Please
Your application will not be considered if you use the wrong subject line, do not submit your resume, availability, cover letter and photos of past work.
