Position Summary:
This role requires a highly creative individual to craft engaging and effective scripts for a wide range of content formats that span various platforms. A strong understanding of storytelling and the ability to seamlessly adapt to different writing styles and tones are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop compelling scripts: Write scripts for various content formats, including:
? Video scripts: Explainer videos, commercials, social media videos, documentaries, etc.
? Audio scripts: Podcasts, radio ads, voiceovers, etc.
? Interactive scripts: Chatbots, voice assistants, interactive experiences, etc.
? On-screen text: Website copy, social media captions, presentations, etc.
• Conduct research and gather information: Research relevant topics, gather information from various sources, and ensure the accuracy and clarity of information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with videographers, editors, designers, producers, and other tea
• Revise and refine scripts: Revise and refine scripts based on feedback from stakeholders and internal reviews.
• Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends in content marketing, storytelling, and scriptwriting.
• Maintain brand consistency: Ensure all scripts align with the brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience: Years of professional experience as a scriptwriter, screenwriter, or in a related role.
• Excellent writing skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and creativity.
• Storytelling abilities: Ability to craft compelling narratives with strong character development (where applicable) and engaging plotlines.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different audiences and platforms.
• Research and analytical skills: Ability to conduct thorough research and analyze information effectively.
• Collaboration skills: Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Time management and organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio of previous writing work (e.g., scripts, screenplays, articles, etc.).
Bonus Points:
• Experience with specific software (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx, Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices
