Role: Cyber Security Analyst
Hours per Week: 35-38 Hours
Schedule: Amenable to work on shifting and graveyard schedules

Key duties & requirements
Primary Responsibilities (not limited to):
Work closely with the senior security team to develop key security strategies for our clients
Assist or Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments
Deliver the test findings in the form of technical reports and white papers
Keep up to date with current and future security frameworks and ensure compliance is maintained
Understand and develop data governance and compliance policies based on our customers needs and their industry specific requirements
Research the latest company security standards and frameworks
Find the best solution to protect devices, software, networks, data, and information systems against potential intrusion and cyberattacks
Provide Security assistance/guidance and/or supervision to our Service Desk
Define, implement, and maintain a suitable corporate security policies
Immediately respond to any security-related incidents and perform a thorough analysis
Follow up with the client about any necessary security related updates and upgrades of their systems
Maximizing efficiency in system protection, networks, data, software, and information systems to guard against potential attacks
Develop and expand our current security monitoring capabilities
Actively work on clients systems to ensure that the security of their systems is constantly improving
Delivering technical reports and test findings with actionable preventative solutions
Outside of hours on call duties for security incident response
Systems and Processes:

Assist to provide security training scenarios for our engineers
Assist to implementation of security solutions
Conduct ongoing security training and webinars for our clients
Work with the Sales Department and Account Managers to provide recommendations for IT Strategy and Roadmaps
Meetings and Reports:

Weekly meetings with Senior Managers
Monthly Staff meeting with all staff
3 Regular meetings with clients to discuss security needs and address risks
Regular security reports for distribution both internally and externally
Monthly threat reports for existing clients
Monitoring reports and metrics based on developed security monitoring solution
Knowledge/Skills/attributes

Effective communication and people skills, significant customer engagement experience at all levels
A high degree of ownership of client needs, issues, and initiatives
Motivation and drive to succeed
Excellent cultural fit
Ability to work across functional units
Experience in cyber security or adjacent industries
A practical understanding of cyber security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, NIST, ISO 27001/27002, etc.)
An ambitious attitude
An understanding of the criticality of the Security role and being a member of such a team
Practical experience conducting security reviews and making informed decisions
Understanding of governance principles applied towards cyber security
The ability to self-manage time and consistently meet deadlines
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
IT Degree or relevant experience
Amenable to work on shifting and graveyard schedules
