JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:
On-Page SEO Optimization
Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies.
Optimize website pages for search visibility, including metadata, headings, and image alt tags.
Ensure proper site structure and internal linking for improved rankings.

Copywriting & Content Optimization
Write and refine website copy that balances SEO best practices with professional, client-friendly language.
Edit and rework content to match brand voice and industry expectations.
Work with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to customize content while maintaining authenticity.

Technical SEO Support
Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as crawl errors and site speed optimizations.
Perform basic UX audits to ensure a smooth user experience.
Implement schema markup where applicable.
Set up and optimize Google My Business profiles for clients.
Ensure directory listings (e.g., Psychology Today) are correctly formatted and up to date.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with business profiles and listings.

Backlink Outreach & Off-Page SEO (Optional, Preferred Skill)
Identify potential backlink opportunities and reach out for guest posting or partnerships.
Monitor backlinks and ensure domain authority improvements over time.

Additional Marketing & Admin Support
Assist with email newsletter setup and management.
Support marketing initiatives related to SEO, such as writing optimized blog content.
Collaborate with designers and developers as needed for website improvements.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in SEO, particularly in on-page optimization and local SEO.
Strong writing skills with an understanding of how to incorporate SEO naturally.
Experience with WordPress and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
Familiarity with Google My Business, directory listings, and local SEO best practices.
Comfortable using AI tools to enhance and customize copywriting.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects efficiently.
Strong preference for candidates with experience or exposure to the therapist industry, mental health ecosystem, or related fields. This can include having worked with therapists, creating content for therapy-focused businesses, or even personal experience as a therapy client with an understanding of industry-specific language and nuances.

Bonus Skills:
Experience with off-page SEO and backlink outreach.
Familiarity with basic website design and branding elements.
Knowledge of email marketing platforms for newsletter setup and campaign management.
Experience engaging on Reddit and similar forums for marketing and SEO purposes.
Strong background in email newsletter marketing, including campaign creation and audience engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with clients in the mental health space, understands SEO fundamentals, and can bring a strategic yet practical approach to improving search visibility.
