SEO Content Writer

Job Description:
Hellamaid is seeking a Content Writer with strong SEO expertise to create and optimize content that drives organic growth in both Canada and the U.S. As our Content Writer, you’ll work closely with the SEO team to produce high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for multiple locations and services. If you have a passion for writing, understand SEO best practices, and can think beyond generic blog posts, we’d love to hear from you.

1. Key Responsibilities:
- SEO Strategy and Content Implementation:
- Work with the SEO team to align content with targeted keywords and local SEO strategies.
- Conduct keyword research and identify content opportunities that enhance search visibility.
- Ensure all content follows SEO best practices, is properly structured, and provides value to the reader.

2. Content Creation and On-Page Optimization:
- Write, edit, and publish city-specific and service landing pages, blog posts, and supporting materials.
- Optimize on-page elements such as titles, meta descriptions, headers, and image alt texts to improve ranking potential.
- Format and publish content using WordPress and Elementor.

3. Performance Monitoring and Content Optimization:
- Track and analyze content performance using Ahrefs (will provide access)
- Identify underperforming content and implement improvements to increase engagement and rankings.
- Continuously refine content strategy based on SEO performance metrics.

4. Long-Term Content Planning:
- Help maintain a content calendar aligned with SEO goals.
- Develop resourceful and high-value content that enhances brand visibility and authority.
- Think outside the box to create content assets beyond traditional blogs, such as guides, interactive resources, and locally relevant materials.

5. Journalist Outreach (Training Provided):
- Assist in sending pitches to journalists on Qwoted to get featured in media articles.
- Learn how to craft compelling content angles that attract editorial coverage.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Content Writer with strong knowledge of SEO.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Elementor, and SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Google Analytics).
- Excellent research and writing skills with a focus on clarity, tone, and engagement.
- Ability to create well-structured, SEO-optimized content beyond just generic blogs.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple content projects and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to contribute ideas that add value beyond standard content writing.
