Pay: $10/hour, 5 hours a week paid weekly - $50/week.


About The Blurry Stars
The Blurry Stars is a California-based garage rock band blending the sounds of 90s alternative, vintage punk, the 2000s garage revival, and the edgier classic rock of the 60s and 70s. Founded by lifelong friends Sean Alan and Andrew Zeiser, and joined by Ventura bassist Bash Porter, The Blurry Stars have been crafting a modern take on classic sounds. Since their debut in February 2024, the band has attracted a growing fanbase worldwide and is currently working on a new record set to release in late spring 2025.

Position Overview
We’re looking for a passionate and creative Virtual Assistant to support our social media, promotions, and video editing needs. If you love music (especially rock/punk rock), social media, and creating engaging content, this role is for you!


Responsibilities:
• Social Media Management: Prepare and schedule daily Instagram stories and posts.
Promotions & Outreach: Reach out to promoters, influencers, review sites, and blogs via DM, email, and calls to explore promotion opportunities for singles and upcoming shows.
• Video Editing: Edit video clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts using tools like CapCut, Davinci Resolve, or similar.
• Content Organization: Maintain and manage the band’s media library on Google Drive for easy access and content creation.
• Engagement: Comment, like, and DM stories from accounts we follow to build relationships and grow our presence.
• Market Research: Looking online for other like-minded bands, artists, and music industry to facilitate collaborations and opportunities.


Requirements:
? Must-Have:
• Reliable computer and internet connection.
• Smartphone with WhatsApp and webcam for Zoom meetings.
• Fluent in English with excellent written communication skills.


? Preferred Skills:
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, Davinci Resolve, etc.).
• Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube content creation.
• Passion for music, (preferably rock/punk rock.)
• Experience managing social media accounts for bands or businesses.
• Knowledge of running ad campaigns to boost post engagement and drive traffic.
