Position Overview:
The Revit Drafting & Project Documentation Coordinator is responsible for producing accurate and detailed drafts, as-built drawings, and project documentation to support the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure that all drawings, specifications, and meeting records are properly maintained and reflect the project's progress. The coordinator will also be responsible for writing clear and concise project scope documents to guide project execution and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting & Design Support:
o Prepare, revise, and finalize detailed CAD drawings in Revit for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
o Collaborate with project architects, engineers, and designers to develop drawings that reflect design intent and construction feasibility.
o Update and maintain drawings during the course of the project, incorporating revisions and feedback from stakeholders.
• As-Built Drawings:
o Create and update as-built drawings to reflect changes made during construction, ensuring that all deviations from the original design are accurately captured.
o Work with field personnel and contractors to gather information for as-built drawings, ensuring they are properly documented and reflect the actual completed work.
o Ensure as-built drawings are delivered in a timely manner for project closeout, serving as an official record for future reference and maintenance.
• Meeting Notes & Documentation:
o Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes, capturing key discussions, action items, and project decisions.
o Distribute meeting notes to relevant stakeholders, ensuring that action items and next steps are clearly communicated and followed up on.
o Maintain an organized record of meeting notes, correspondence, and other important project documentation.
• Writing Project Scope:
o Develop and write clear, concise, and comprehensive project scope documents that outline the project's objectives, deliverables, timelines, and key milestones.
o Work closely with project managers and clients to define the project scope, ensuring that all aspects of the project are clearly outlined and understood by all stakeholders.
o Ensure that project scope documents align with client requirements, industry standards, and any applicable regulatory or environmental considerations.
• Collaboration & Coordination:
o Coordinate with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure that all project documentation is consistent and up-to-date.
o Review project drawings and scope documents to ensure they are in line with project requirements and design specifications.
o Assist in resolving any issues related to documentation discrepancies, scope changes, or drawing revisions.
• Project Documentation Management:
o Maintain a well-organized project file system, ensuring that all project documentation, including drawings, scope documents, and meeting notes, are easily accessible and properly archived.
o Ensure that all project documentation is compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
