The Reservations Sales Specialist assists the reservations team in managing, filtering, and responding to a high volume of inquiries. Their duties include answering all incoming assigned inquiries, follow up, CRM organization, and exceptional customer service.
Job Duties:
• Must demonstrate a guest driven style of service (upbeat, friendly, sense of urgency in all interactions
• Strong skills in time management, attention to detail and ability to multitask – required • Answer a high volume of incoming inquiries in a timely manner
• Assist in making any changes to reservations (moves, upgrades, discounts, date changes, etc.)
• Follow-up with inquiries and filter the CRM (NEW, HOT, WORKING, COLD)
• Work closely with other departments to retrieve relevant information and ensure a smooth guest experience
• Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
• Answer questions about property facilities/services and accommodations. • Familiarize a high volume of properties and amenities
• Accommodate and document special requests.
• Input and access data in the reservation system.
• Oversee accuracy of reservations.
• Respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests by communicating with appropriate individual or department.
• Process the assigned reservation cancellations and refunds with supervisor approval and after verifying the cancellation policy
• Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers and inquiries
Skills
· Advanced computer knowledge - General
· Advance Microsoft Office - Emphasis in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams
· Data entry and analytics experience
· High school diploma or GED required
· Previous sales and/or revenue experience working in the hospitality industry preferred
· Proven history for success, willing to do what it takes
· Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and instills an elevated level of professionalism
