Researcher VA for Real Estate Developer Database

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Researcher & Virtual Assistant to assist in building a comprehensive database for real estate benchmarking and to conduct research on public pension funds and their real estate allocations.

This initial phase involves gathering key data on real estate development companies and pension funds with significant real estate investment or development arms. Your work will be instrumental in shaping our strategic benchmarking analysis.

Responsibilities:

Real Estate Benchmarking:
Research real estate development companies (e.g., Emaar, Nakheel, BlackRock, Brookfield, etc.) and collect data on each company’s location, ownership, mission, size, organizational structure, key activities, development areas, and relevant financial/operational metrics, template will be provided to be filled out.

Pension Fund Research:
Identify major public pension funds with real estate allocations and gather information on their real estate investment arm or affiliated real estate development companies, if applicable.

Data Referencing:
Data collected must be clearly referenced from reputable sources, with source links or citations provided within the template to ensure information accuracy and transparency.

Data Standardization:
Ensure all information is standardized for easy comparison, including metrics such as financial performance (e.g., revenue range, ROI) and performance indexes as per the provided template.

Data Entry:
Organize and input all collected data into a structured Excel or Google Sheets template.

Requirements:

Proven experience in data research and data entry, preferably in real estate, finance, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured data entry and standardization guidelines
Familiarity with real estate, business, or financial terminology
Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
Ability to deliver high-quality, accurate results within deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in market research, benchmarking, or analyzing investment portfolios
Understanding of financial and operational metrics
Familiarity with public pension fund structures and investment strategies

Timeline:

First Draft: Expected within 2 days of hire.
Completion: Entire job to be completed within 3-4 days, depending on initial draft quality.

Opportunity for Additional Work:

If you have experience with PowerBI, there is potential for additional tasks in the next stage of the project. Compensation for PowerBI work can be negotiated based on your experience and expertise at a later stage.
