Remote Xero Bookkeeper / Virtual Assistant - Part-Time

Australian Business Hours | 10-15 Hours Per Week

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Xero Bookkeeper/Virtual Assistant to join our diverse Australian business portfolio on a part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with multiple innovative businesses, including a modular home construction company and a charitable fun run organization, managing their financial operations through Xero. Additional business accounts may be added to your portfolio as the role develops.


Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of Xero bookkeeping across multiple business entities
Perform regular bank reconciliations
Process and manage accounts payable and receivable
Handle invoice creation and management
Manage trust account reconciliations
Monitor and categorize financial transactions
Assist with GST compliance and reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Generate financial reports as required


Required Skills and Experience

Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software
Proven experience with Australian accounting practices
Strong understanding of Australian GST and tax requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
Reliable internet connection and quiet home office setup


Highly Regarded

Previous experience working with Australian businesses
Knowledge of trust account management
Additional bookkeeping or accounting certifications
Experience with multiple business types and industries


Working Hours and Schedule

10-15 hours per week
Australian business hours (approximately 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM AEST)
Consistent weekly schedule (e.g., Tuesday-Thursday or Monday-Wednesday-Friday)
Flexibility to align schedules between Australian and Philippine time zones
