Job Title: Life Safety Compliance & Emergency Operations Training Specialist
Location: Remote
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Life Safety Compliance & Emergency Operations Training Specialist with expertise in both compliance reporting and emergency preparedness training for healthcare facilities. This role involves the critical responsibility of interpreting and managing life safety reports while also designing and delivering comprehensive training programs. The ideal candidate will bring advanced Excel skills for complex reporting, experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products for creating training materials, and a strong understanding of life safety regulations and emergency protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Life Safety Compliance & Reporting: Review, interpret, and verify the accuracy of various life safety reports, including those for fire safety, fire extinguisher, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, electrical safety, emergency evacuation, and generators. Ensure all reports align with NFPA, OSHA, and Medicare standards.
Advanced Excel Reporting: Utilize advanced Excel skills to create, manage, and analyze complex reports, supporting compliance tracking and documentation with data manipulation, visualization, and automation.
Training Program Development & Delivery: Design, implement, and conduct training programs focused on life safety and emergency operations, including hands-on drills, scenario-based training, and compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and Medicare requirements.
Curriculum & Materials Creation: Develop clear, visually effective training materials—such as guides, checklists, and presentations—leveraging Adobe Creative Cloud products as needed for high-quality design and engagement.
Safety Audits, Inspections & Drills: Conduct regular audits and organize safety drills to confirm equipment functionality and staff readiness. Collaborate with facility managers to develop and test emergency evacuation and response protocols.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Assess training effectiveness through feedback and post-training evaluations, using insights to enhance program delivery and materials.
Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and compliance reports to meet regulatory standards.
Emergency Response Coordination: Serve as a liaison during real-time emergency events, coordinating with local emergency services and ensuring efficient response protocols.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a compliance, safety, or emergency preparedness role within a healthcare or medical facility.
Strong understanding of life safety regulations, including NFPA, OSHA, and Medicare requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Excel for building, analyzing, and automating complex reports.
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training programs with excellent presentation and communication skills.
Beneficial: Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products (e.g., Acrobat, Illustrator) for creating visual training materials.
High-speed internet connection (if remote) to support access to compliance and reporting systems.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), Certified Life Safety Specialist (CLSS), or equivalent certification in safety or emergency preparedness.
