Role Overview:

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with Australian taxation laws, and overseeing collections. Your ability to analyze financial data, identify gaps, and provide strategic solutions will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle accounts receivable and collections, ensuring timely payments from clients.
- Manage financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Australian taxation regulations, including GST, BAS, and corporate tax requirements.
- Identify financial gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, proposing and implementing solutions.
- Reconcile financial statements and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Assist with audits, financial planning, forecasting, and risk assessment.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment terms where necessary.
- Work closely with internal teams to optimize financial workflows and reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

- Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on collections, Australian taxation, and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills to identify gaps and develop strategic financial solutions.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel/Sheets.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for handling collections professionally.
