Are you an experienced bookkeeper passionate about helping small businesses succeed? Six Points Bookkeeping is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QuickBooks Online Specialist to support our growing client base. Your Role
As a freelance bookkeeper, you’ll work directly with our owner to manage client financials and ensure their bookkeeping is timely, accurate, and aligned with their business goals. Responsibilities include:
- Bookkeeping Tasks: Handling accounts payable (entering bills and transactions) and receivable (entering payments and creating invoices), reconciling bank and credit card statements, and maintaining up-to-date financial records.
- QuickBooks Management: Setting up and managing accounts in QuickBooks Online, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing usage for clients’ specific needs.
- Reporting & Analysis: Preparing monthly financial reports, identifying key trends, and highlighting insights for client decision-making.
- Client Collaboration: Communicating with clients as needed to gather information and ensure all bookkeeping processes run smoothly.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and recommending improvements to workflows.

Skills & Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced: Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably supporting small to medium-sized businesses.
- QuickBooks Expert: Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO), minimum 3 years of QBO experience, including account setup, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Excel / Google Sheets: Advanced proficiency with Excel/Google sheets, including setting up formulas and entering data.
- Google Drive: We use Google Drive to share files.
- Detail-Oriented: You double-check everything and are committed to delivering error-free work.
- Communicative: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and our team.
- Organized: Able to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
- Trustworthy: Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data.

Additional experience with Trello (project management system), financial analysis, or working with marketing agencies, interior designers, or professional services clients are all a big bonus!
