Python Developer

Job Purpose:
complete back-end API development activities.
Ensure timely completion of features, bugs and fixes.
Complete unit-testing.
Report on progress to product owner on feature progress.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for back-end/REST API development using python/django and DRF.
Responsible for code quality.
Consider engineering best practice principles.
Liaise and supporting the product and engineering team to ensure timely completion of features
Be able to build functionality from user stories and basic wireframes.
Providing regular updates to various stakeholders.

Experience:
Proven experience as a back-end developer using python and django.
Proven experience with real-world experience of delivering full features from inception. Eg. third-party api integrations, background task processing
Proven experience with adding test coverage over endpoints.
Proven experience with Django Rest Framework, celery, postgres, redis
Proficiency with agile methodologies and tools (e.g.Github, visual studio code,postman).
Devops activities are not essential and are a nice to have.
