Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in the apparel sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and products. This role requires excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of the apparel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management:
Create and process purchase orders accurately and timely.
Track and manage order status to ensure on-time delivery.

Supplier Coordination:
Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm orders, monitor shipments, and resolve any issues.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet production and sales demands.
Coordinate with the inventory team to manage stock levels effectively.


Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including order details and supplier communications.
Prepare and present regular purchasing reports to management.


Cost Management:
Assist in negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
Monitor and report on purchasing expenditures.


Quality Assurance:
Ensure all purchased materials and products meet the company’s quality standards.
Coordinate with the quality control team to address and resolve any quality issues.


Compliance:
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Assist in managing supplier compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the apparel industry.


Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and purchasing software.


Knowledge:
Understanding of the apparel supply chain and market trends.
Familiarity with inventory management practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
Experience with ERP systems.
