We are looking for a Public Relations Specialist to help manage media outreach, secure press coverage, and shape public perception. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about public relations.
What You’ll Do:
- Media Outreach & Engagement
Research and connect with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to build strong relationships.
Pitch story ideas, press releases, and PR materials to major news platforms like CNN and MSNBC.
Maintain a media contact list and respond to requests from journalists and clients.
- Public Relations Strategy
Develop and implement PR campaigns to promote services and establish brand authority.
Work closely with leadership to ensure clear and consistent messaging across media.
Assist in crafting speeches and talking points for executives and key spokespersons.
Speaking Engagements & Conferences
Research and secure speaking opportunities at key conferences and industry events.
Reach out to event organizers via cold calls and
Help plan and manage event logistics for public speaking appearances.
Content Creation
Write and edit press releases, newsletters, and PR materials.
Create speeches, presentations, and talking points for speaking engagements.
Maintain a consistent tone of voice in all public communications.
Tracking & Reporting
Monitor media coverage and PR campaign effectiveness.
Provide regular updates and reports on public relations efforts.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the executive team to align PR activities with business goals.
Ensure all messaging reflects the company’s vision and brand identity.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience in public relations, media pitching, or communications is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to network and build relationships with journalists and media contacts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
- Interest in government contracting, American culture, and political trends.
- Self-starter with a go-getter attitude who can take initiative.
- Familiarity with PR platforms, media databases, and digital communications tools is a plus.
