JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: DaVinci Resolve Video Editor – Technical Role (PH-Based, Full-Time)
Who We Are
We’re an established creative agency (name withheld for anonymity) that produces high-end brand, corporate, and podcast video content for clients worldwide. We’re seeking a highly proficient DaVinci Resolve video editor to join our remote team from the Philippines. If you thrive on organizing large volumes of footage, assembling interviews and b-roll, and creating strong rough cuts, you’ll fit right in.

Why This Role Matters
Our projects range from brand campaigns to multi-camera podcasts. We need your technical expertise to handle large sets of footage, create organized DaVinci Resolve project files (DRPs), and rough-cut videos so our Australian-based creative team can finalize the editing. Your work will be pivotal in keeping our post-production streamlined and efficient.

What You’ll Do
De-Rush & Organize

Sort through interview footage, b-roll, and other media to create structured timelines.
Label clips clearly, tag relevant content, and maintain a tidy file structure in Resolve.
Rough Cuts & Assembly Edits

Provide a solid first edit pass that establishes pacing and narrative flow, ready for final polish by our in-house team.
Assist with social media short-form drafts (e.g., reels, teasers).
Multi-Cam Podcast/Vodcast Editing

Use DaVinci Resolve’s multicam functionality to sync multi-camera recordings.
Create sequences that are easy for our creatives to refine.
Occasional Internal Content

Edit agency vlogs, behind-the-scenes footage, or internal marketing content as needed.
Who We’re Looking For
Proficient in DaVinci Resolve
You know how to navigate editing, multicam syncing, basic color adjustments, and media management.

Detail-Oriented & Efficient
You catch inconsistencies and make sure everything is labeled, binned, and tagged properly.

Strong Communication Skills
You’ll collaborate with an Australian-based creative team, so clear English communication is essential.

Full-Time Availability
This is a 40-hour/week role, Monday–Friday (8 hours/day). Must be able to handle tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

Reliable & Self-Motivated
We’re a remote team, so you must be comfortable managing your own time and workload.

Rate & Schedule
Pay: 360 PHP/hour
Hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (total 40 hours/week)
Setup: Fully remote. A stable internet connection is a must.
Why Join Us?
Consistent, Full-Time Work
Working with an in house creative team
We will also pay 13th Month
Say goodbye to gig hunting. You’ll have a steady workflow from various client projects.

Team Support & Collaboration
You’ll hand off your organized, rough edits to our senior creatives, allowing you to focus on technical tasks.

Skill Growth
Work on diverse content—from brand narratives to multi-cam podcasts—and refine your DaVinci Resolve expertise in a professional environment.

Work-Life Balance
Align with Australian business hours (no graveyard shifts), giving you more normal daytime work in the Philippines.

How to Apply
Subject Line: “DaVinci Resolve Editor – [Your Name]”

Portfolio/Showreel: Provide links showcasing any rough cuts, interview edits, multicam syncs, or social media reels you’ve done in DaVinci Resolve.

Short Introduction: In a brief paragraph, describe your relevant editing experience and why this technical role interests you.

Application Challenge (Required):

Scenario: You have a 20-minute interview recorded on a single camera at 24fps, with audio captured separately at 48kHz. You also have additional b-roll footage relevant to the interview topics. The goal is to produce a 1-minute rough-cut highlight for social media.

Questions:

- How would you import, label, and sync the interview and separate audio in DaVinci Resolve?

- Once synced, what’s your approach to selecting the best quotes for the 1-minute highlight?

- How would you incorporate b-roll to support the key talking points?

- Please explain your steps and reasoning in a short written response (2–3 paragraphs).

Optional Loom Video: If you’d rather present your workflow visually, record a quick Loom (or similar) video walking us through how you’d set up this project in DaVinci Resolve.

Availability & Start Date: Indicate when you’re available to start.
