Production Artist and Prepress Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Artist and Prepress Specialist to prepare and manage digital files for our publishing company.

You will collaborate with a graphic designer and illustrators to create book covers, book interiors, and marketing materials. You will ensure all files meet print and digital standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and format book interiors, covers, and marketing materials using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
- Ensure all files are “upload ready” and comply with Amazon KDP standards (trim sizes, bleeds, PDF/X requirements, etc.).
- Perform preflight checks for print files, including verifying resolution, color profiles, and text layout.
- Manage and organize our Dropbox file system to ensure all assets are accessible and properly versioned.
- Collaborate with illustrators and graphic designers to refine artwork and layouts.
- Stay updated on print production and digital publishing best practices.

Qualifications:
- Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
- In-depth understanding of print standards, including PDFs, bleed settings, trim marks, color space conversions (RGB to CMYK), and resolution requirements.
- Exceptional ability to manage files, organize workflows, and maintain a structured file system.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in book layout, print production, or similar roles.
- Proven experience preparing files for platforms like Amazon KDP is a strong plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Work Schedule:
- Approximately 10 hours per week.
- Flexible schedule, with some hours overlapping U.S. business hours (Eastern Standard Time).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Php450.00 - Php900.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
