Are you a product detective with a deep understanding of customer psychology?
We’re looking for a Product Researcher to join our team and take our e-commerce business to the next level. This role requires someone who doesn’t just follow trends but understands why trends happen, knows what makes products go viral, and can tap into the desires and emotions of our target audience.
What You’ll Do
In-Depth Market Analysis:
Research trending products in multiple markets and niches.
Identify what’s working for competitors by analyzing their social media, websites, and ads (using tools like
Spot products that trigger emotional responses and have the potential to go viral.
Customer Psychology Focus:
Understand what motivates customers to buy, from their pain points to their desires.
Translate customer needs into actionable product insights.
Leverage psychological triggers (urgency, scarcity, social proof, etc.) to select high-converting products.
Data-Driven Decisions:
Analyze performance metrics of potential products (search volume, market demand, profitability).
Create comprehensive reports on product viability, target audience, and marketing angles.
Trend Forecasting:
Monitor emerging trends on social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
Predict upcoming product demand based on cultural shifts, seasonality, and viral
Creative Ideation:
Brainstorm innovative ways to position products and tell their story.
Suggest video angles and content ideas that drive engagement and sales.
What We’re Looking For
Customer-Centric Mindset: You understand the desires, fears, and aspirations of customers and can translate those into product ideas.
Trend Savvy: You know what products are trending and why—and have a nose for what’s coming next.
Experience with Virality: You can identify why a product or piece of content resonates with people and suggest products that have similar potential.
Research Skills: Proficiency with product research tools, market analysis, and competitor analysis methods.
Content Knowledge: A good eye for what makes compelling ad creatives and product descriptions.
Strong Communication: Ability to present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
E-Commerce Knowledge: Familiarity with the e-commerce and dropshipping landscape, including sourcing platforms like Alibaba, CJdropshipping, and others.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven track record in product research, preferably in e-commerce or dropshipping.
Experience using tools like
Knowledge of consumer psychology and marketing principles.
An understanding of different international markets and cultural nuances in product preferences.
